PS I love you by Cecelia Ahern: A Book Review

Cecelia Ahern’s PS I love you has made grief so realistic and beautiful at every turn.

PS I love you is about Holly Kennedy and her grief for her husband, Gerry who has passed away. One day at her parents she finds a package addressed to her from Gerry, inside are ten envelopes. The envelopes contain written requests from Gerry to Holly to try and help her through her grief. Meanwhile her friends and family are moving on and each of the sub stories intertwine perfectly making it a lovely saga. Some bits will have you aching others, sobbing. As ever Ahern touches the subject with kid gloves and tenderness.

My verdict: 3/5 Some moments depressed me and I found it hard to relate too. Glad I’ve read it but, would rather watch the film.
