My verdict: I started reading this series in university because things were getting too heavy and I couldn’t cope so I wanted some escapism. The second book doesn’t disappoint and I just want to say thank you to Connie for putting in an LGBT storyline because that is still underrated in mainstream fiction. It’s like Harry Potter meets once upon a time meets the hunger games and that is a winning combination for Connie G. Thank you for strong female characters and incorporating disability as well.
It’s light Fiction for those who aren’t ready
for Harry Potter, that can become can get deep.
